Friday Lecture 11/7

Exam 3 Review

  • Clathrin pinching
    • PI(4.5)P_2
  • COPI and Clathrin usually use ARF proteins
  • COPII usually uses Sar1 proteins
  • GEF promotes vesicle assembly, and GAP promotes vesicle disassembly.
    • Assembly is faster than disassembly.
  • t-SNARE and v-SNAREs make the trans-SNARE complex.
  • NSF protein unbinds the trans-SNARE complex
  • Anterograde transport goes forward via COPII, and retrograde transport goes back via COPI.
  • The KDEL sequence and KDXX sequence are both used for transport
  • Know the CGN, TGN, and that there is a cisterna
  • Review complex oligosaccharides.
  • O-linked glycosylation gets its own enzyme.
